PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM

The Bursary Fund is intended to help students with their actual costs of participating at college and is funded by the DofE.

The Transport Contribution is intended to assist students with costs of getting to and from college and is funded by the college.

  • Students should complete the form with their parent/carer assistance.
  • Your answers will be saved as you proceed through the application.  You may be required to upload evidence at certain points.
  • Please make sure you and your parents/carers sign the declaration before submitting your completed application.
  • For students due to start in September 26, please register below with your student number and date of birth.  Your student number can be found on a recent email from the college.
  • For students already studying at college, please login to the application form using your college Microsoft login.
  • When completing the bursary application form, please be aware that giving false or incomplete information that leads to incorrect/overpayment may result in future payments being stopped and any incorrectly paid funds being recovered.  This could result in a referral to the police with the possibility of the student and/or their family facing prosecution.
  • We reserve the right to close applications at any time subject to funding availability.
  • Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee that you will receive financial assistance.

What documents do I need to provide for the Discretionary Bursary or Huish Transport Contribution? 

Income from employment:  P60 from April 2026 

Income from benefits:  3 recent Universal Credit statements in pdf format - Login to your UC account, select a recent month, click on the 'print this statement' icon and then select 'save as a pdf' (no need to print).

Interest on Savings:  Yearly statement showing interest earned in the year to April 2026 

Dividends: Yearly statement showing dividends paid to date for all shares 

Income from property: Statement from agency showing rent received 

Self-employment: Most recent tax return showing all income in full and most recent accounts together with any other income as noted above. 

Limited Company/Directorships:  Most recent tax return in full showing all income and most recent accounts which show full payments to directors together with any other income as listed above. 

NB   If you do not supply the correct documentation, we will be unable to process your application.
